Introduction

Overview of the HPC module features

Global simulation management

Define, start, monitor and exploit your studies...

Cross compilation for embedded user libraries and models

This feature makes it possible to use different platforms for the design and for the calculations. Typically, you can design your Simcenter Amesim model and define your study under Windows® while your job will be executed on a 64-bit Linux® HPC platform (i.e. no need to work on the same platform/architecture as the HPC machine).

Optimized use of multicore CPUs

To fully exploit your multicore HPC platform, a remote computation daemon called "STDSIMManager" is used for managing runs on each node. It is automatically deployed using all assigned cores.

Management of complex applications

Most Simcenter Amesim APIs can be used for advanced pre- and post-processing and for setting up custom simulations on the HPC platform.

Support of several job schedulers

A job scheduler is the program responsible for the management of jobs on the HPC platform (queuing system, allocation of CPU resources, .... See the Glossary for more details). Simcenter Amesim currently supports Slurm, PBS, LSF, UGE and SGE job schedulers.
