Launch on double click
When a script or an app is attached to a component, you can define whether they are launched through a double-click on that component. For example, you might wish to launch an attached script in Simulation mode, but open the Change Parameters window in Parameter mode. This is managed through the Launch on double click option.
Figure 256: Configure Tool launch
Note
You can access the Launch on double click option through the Manage Embedded tools dialog box, that is available from the Supercomponent Editor window. You can select an App or Script and then click the Properties button to open the configuration window.
Click the Browse button to the right of the field to open the Configure Tool launch dialog box. You can select either or both of the checkboxes to set the tool launch behavior. When you click OK, the field is updated accordingly:
In the above screenshot, the configured tool (Notepad++) will be launched in both Parameter and Simulation modes, whenever the user double-clicks on the component to which the tool is attached:
If you have several tools attached to a component, tool launch depends on the order in the Manage dialog box, the first tool in the list will be launched through a double-click. If you have several different tools (plugins, apps, scripts) attached to a component, the order of precedence is 1.plugin, 2. app, 3. script. In other words, if you have both a plugin and an app attached (and both configured to launch on double-click), it is the plugin that will be launched. If you have an app and a script attached, it is the app that will be launched.
