In modeling and simulation activities, it is important to access the right level of appropriate model suitable for the analysis in question. Engineers are regularly confronted with the question: "How complex should the model be?", while a simple answer is: "As complex as necessary, but no more." For this reason, we will now introuduce the concept of "proper models".
