Comparing curves with saved plot data

You might want to compare a curve with one from previously-saved plot data. You can do this through the Post processing tab.

Procedure

  1. Create a plot and use File > Save data in Plot to save the curve data, using the Plot data format option.

  2. Open a new model, open Plot, and use File > Load data to open the saved data from the original plot.

  3. Drag the variable whose curve you want to compare to the Post processing tab.

  4. Click Add to add a line to the Post processing tab.

  5. Double-click in the Expression field and click on the ... button to open the Expression Editor.

  6. Select the Declared operands and constants tab, and locate the variable from the "Saved data" plot. The name will be similar to C1_R0_F4@name_of_your_file.

  7. Double-click the variable to add it to the field at the top of the Expression Editor and click OK.

  8. Add a new line in the Post processing tab, and enter A1-A2 and plot it.

Results

The result is the difference between the two curves.
