Toolbox Amesim Display Widgets

The Amesim Display Widgets toolbox contains the following items:

Plot: this widget makes it possible to displaySimcenter Amesim results or other data. In order to achieve this, you will need to use the Python API. For more information, see: The Python API.
Viewer 3D: this widget makes it possible to display 3D objects. In order to achieve this, you will need to use the Python API. For more information, see: The Python 3D API.
Table Preview: this widget makes it possible to display a table preview.
Image: this widget makes it possible to display an image.

Displaying an image

To display an image, you can either import the image into the App Designer, or simply browse to locate the required image on your machine. This process is described below.

To import an image:

Procedure

  1. Right-click the Image files entry on the left-hand side of the display and select Import existing:

A file browser opens with which you can locate the image you require.

  1. Place an image widget on the Form:

  2. Click on the image widget and select the pixmap property to enable the Resource browser button:

The Resource browser button allows you either to select the imported image, or to browse to locate a file stored on your machine:

  • Choose Resource: Select this option to open the Select Resource window from which you can select your imported image files:

  • Choose File: Select this option to open a file browser with which you can select an image stored on your machine.

When you click OK (in both cases), the image widget is updated with the selected image:

Note

When you use the Choose Resource option to add an image (as opposed to selecting a file stored locally), that image is saved with the app and is therefore available on another machine if the app is exported.
