Getting started with Simcenter Amesim Real-Time Simulation > Generate the code for real-time in Simcenter Amesim

dSPACE SCALEXIO Linux64 (2022-A and higher)

Warning

As of release 2022-A of ConfigurationDesk, dSPACE recommends you migrate the real-time operating system of the SCALEXIO target to Linux 64-bit. Linux 32-bit is deprecated as of release 2022-B, even if it remains usable until release 2023-A. Such a migration has an impact on binaries built for dSPACE 2021-B and earlier. Please consult the previous section if your system has not been migrated yet to Linux 64-bit.

Compilation configuration in Simulink

dSPACE SCALEXIO

The target configuration panel should be filled in with the following parameters (see also dSPACE documentation):

System target file dsrt.tlc
Make command make_dsrt
Template makefile dsrt_default_tmf

Set custom Simcenter Amesim code references

Fill in the custom code panel according the following parameters:

Include directories "%AME%\lib" "%AME%\interfaces\simulink" "%AME%\interfaces"
Source files C code of user submodels (use full file names with absolute paths, and double quotes [""] for each C file).
Libraries "%AME%\misc\realtime\lnxrt_x64\libAMESim_RT_rUVWXYZ_lnxrt_X64.a"
Note For each entry, replace %AME% with the underlying absolute path and make sure to use double quotes [""].

Note

Here the six digits UVWXYZ refer to the Simcenter Amesim release, for example 202010 for Simcenter Amesim 2020.1.

Use dSPACE ConfigurationDesk for building for the target

When the "Custom code" section is filled in the procedure is completely standard using dSPACE Configuration Desk. In dSPACE Configuration Desk (Implementation Version), create a project adding the Simulink system which uses the Simcenter Amesim system. The compilation of the system is then done from within ConfigurationDesk. For more details on how to use ConfigurationDesk please see the appropriate dSPACE documentation.
