Tab groups

When you open an existing class, or create a new one, the class is presented in its own tab. The tabs of any open classes are displayed at the top of the interface.

Note

By default, only one class is open at a time in the Modelica Editor interface. To open several classes in separate tabs, right-click on a model in the library tree or in the sketch and select Open in new Tab.

Each tab contains its corresponding Text, Icon, Diagram and Documentation sub-tabs at the bottom of the window.

When you switch between tabs, the corresponding information is displayed in the Text, Icon, Diagram and Documentation sub-tabs.

When you have opened several classes in the Modelica Editor, but without opening them in separate tabs, you can use the Forward and Backward buttons to switch between them. Additionally, you can display the history of classes opened by selecting the down arrow between the two navigation buttons to select a class:

These options are also available in the Edit menu, and through the keyboard shortcuts Ctrl+Shift+Down/Ctrl +Shift+Up.
