Model Converter — Overview

The Model Converter tool converts Hydraulic library submodels into Thermal Hydraulic library submodels. These libraries are often used to model the same systems based on different hypotheses (with or without thermal effects for Thermal Hydraulics or Hydraulics). This lets users switch from one library to another without changing the structure of their Simcenter Amesim systems.

Note:

• The Hydraulic libraries consist of the Hydraulic, Hydraulic Component Design, and Hydraulic Resistance libraries.
• The Thermal Hydraulic libraries consist of the Thermal Hydraulic, Thermal Hydraulic Resistance, and Thermal Hydraulic Component Design libraries.

A typical application of the tool takes two models containing Hydraulic components and converts them to Thermal Hydraulic components (before/after conversion comparison shown in the source doc).
