Loading and saving parameter values

Parameters load/save

The Change Parameters window Load and Save buttons are used to store special submodel or supercomponent parameters (from the source) so that they can be read back and applied to another submodel or supercomponent (the destination). The source and destination submodels do not need to be the same. If the source is a supercomponent, the destination must be an instance of the same supercomponent.

This facility is also available using the right-click menu, either on the contextual Parameters window or directly on the component icon:

To save parameters:

Procedure

1. Select the Save button or menu item.

2. Select an existing file or enter a new filename.

The preferred extension is .par.

3. Click on the Save button.

To reload a parameter set:

Procedure

1. Select the Load button or menu item.

2. Select the file containing the parameters required (see figure below) and click Open.
