The ribbon toolbar
A dedicated ribbon tab is activated when Excel is launched from Simcenter Amesim . This ribbon toolbar includes 4 groups that establish communication between Excel and Simcenter Amesim .

This group contains graphical control elements that allow actions on The configuration file.
Manage Configuration opens a graphical window to create the list of the parameters in Excel that are linked to Simcenter Amesim . Once the list is created the configuration file is saved.
Delete Configuration deletes the configuration file that is embedded in the current model.
Import Configuration allows users to load and embed an existing configuration file in the current model.
Export Configuration allows users to save an existing configuration file in a defined location.
Parameter

This group contains graphical control elements that apply parameter values in both directions; from Excel to Simcenter Amesim and from Simcenter Amesim to Excel.
Apply Param to Amesim sets the parameter values of the model components in Simcenter Amesim from the ones in Excel according to the definition of the configuration file.
Update from Amesim sets the parameter values in Excel from the ones of the model components in Simcenter Amesim according to the definition of the configuration file.
View log opens the log file that provides a check on the success and failure of the parameters transfer.
Batch

This group contains a graphical control element that allows users to manage batch configuration.
- Create Batch opens a graphical window to create batch from the parameters that are defined in the configuration file. The sets of the batch parameter values are specified either from a single or from multiple Excel files.
Connection
Figure 9: Connection group
This group indicates the name of the active model in Simcenter Amesim with which Excel is connected.
Help
Figure 10: Help group
This group contains a graphical control element that opens the Excel Add-In manual in the Simcenter Amesim Help.
