Extracting 2D Surfaces
Setting axes
The procedure for setting X and Y axis settings is the same as for a
2D Curve
. This means that if you have set the axes for the 2D curve selection, those settings are retained for those axes if you switch to a 2D surface (and vice versa).
Setting the colorscale means that you calibrate the color map of the image similarly to calibrating the X and Y axes.
To set a colorscale, select the 2D surface button in the
Graph type
group.

Procedure
Place the minimum and maximum manipulators on the colors you want to define as the minimum and maximum values for the colorscale. Figure 8: Calibrating the colorscale
Within the Axis settings panel, the Scale preview updates to show the color range if you have set the calibration correctly.:Enter the unit, and the Min and Max values. Once the manipulators, units and min/max values are set, the Curve identification menu is enabled.
