Flow in a Y-junction
The same procedure has been followed in the study of a Y-junction, this time where Simcenter Amesim computes the velocity (from flow rate) and receives pressures as output from the CFD code.
The co-simulation setup can be seen in the image below:

You will note that Simcenter Amesim has facilitated dynamic CFD simulations by providing a set of variable boundary conditions at each time step, which effectively makes it possible to simulate and study transient phenomena.
