Manipulate viewpoint
In addition to the usual navigation commands (such as panning, rotating, and zooming), you can change viewpoints through the toolbar at the top-left of the 3D scene area.
Perspective and orthographic
In the Perspective view (the default), objects which are far away are smaller than those nearby. Perspective viewpoints give more information about depth and are often easier to view because you use perspective views in real life.
In the Orthographic view, all objects appear at the same scale. Orthographic viewpoints make it much easier to compare two parts of an object, as there is no question about how the viewpoint may affect the perception of distance.
The Orthographic view is very useful when you are working in a particular plane and especially after using the predefined views (front, back...).
Standard views
Some view points are so widely used that they are called standard. The toolbar provides several predefined standard points of view for your convenience. These points of view are: Front, Back, Top, Bottom, Left, Right and Isometric.
The isometric view point, corresponds to equal 120° angles between any two world frame axes.
The standard views are only available when the main scene camera is selected.
It may be interesting in some cases to use the standard views combined with the Orthographic view.
Zoom on selection
Use the Zoom on selection option to zoom on a specific object. If no object is selected, the zoom is applied to the entire scene.
The keyboard shortcut is Z.
Split model view
In the Result analysis tab, you can set Viewport layouts to create multiple model views.
From the ribbon bar, click the Viewports selection in the Layout section to create multiple view ports.
You can create up to 4 view ports and access multiple predefined layouts depending on the number of view ports.
To change the relative size of a pane, select one of the view port splitters and drag the cursor.
You can control the navigation of each pane independently. For example, you can set viewpoints, manipulate the triad, and specify rendering techniques independently for each pane.
