Functional Mock-up Interface > Importing and using an FMU > Import assistant reference
Import assistant reference
The first step of the assistant
Titled "Welcome ... Choose an FMU to import", it requires four user inputs:
- FMU — absolute path to the FMU to import; a
...button opens a file browser. - Submodel storage directory — absolute path to the directory where the import submodel and its library node are generated. Can point at an existing library node directory, in which case the import submodel is added to that existing library.
- Submodel name — enabled by a checkbox; lets the user override the default generated submodel name.
- A fourth element (the assistant's remaining option, covered together with the C compiler selection on the assistant's second step) lets the user pick the C compiler used to build the import submodel; the Generate> button then starts the import.
The assistant is reached from Interfaces > FMU import assistant.
