The Configure menu
System parameters
This facility is used when you want to keep a particular set of parameters of a given model. It applies to the parameters of all the components and lines of the model. If you modify these parameters for different simulations, it is then very easy to recover the original parameters by loading the set previously saved. As you can save several sets, it is also easy and fast to compare results of simulations using different sets of parameters. However, if you make any modification to the system so that the executable is recreated, all system parameter sets will be removed.
Save system parameter set
Procedure
- save set of parameters Select the menu Configure > Save system parameter set.
The Save Set of Parameters dialog box opens.
- Type in a description for this set of parameters in the New set field.
The text you type in is a description not a filename! Simcenter Amesim provides the filenames and these are packed into the .ame file when you save the system.
If a set of parameters already exists, its description will appear on the list and you will then have the possibility to select it. In this case its contents will be overwritten by the new set of parameters.
- Click on the Save button.
Results
You can manually delete a set of system parameters by selecting its description in the Save Set of Parameters dialog box and by pressing the Del key.
Load system parameter set
