Modifying the contents of customized supercomponents

Simcenter Amesim allows you to modify the contents of customized supercomponents. In this way, you can add or remove components and lines, or change their associated submodels. Simcenter Amesim will retain as much as possible of the customization made using Component Customization, but in certain cases Simcenter Amesim cannot make a decision about customization relating to changed submodels. That is why it is strongly recommended to open the modified supercomponent in Component Customization in order to check the customization.

You need the correct password to be able to edit a protected supercomponent. This protection is retained during the process of modifying supercomponent contents.

Note

Please be aware of the following limitation: when a supercomponent is contained inside the customized supercomponent you are modifying, changing the submodel of the supercomponent will break any customization attached to it.

To edit a customized supercomponent, you must display the available customized submodels through the Sketch > Available Customized menu (see Available customized).
