Moving and Manipulating Objects in the Icon Design Space
Once you have placed an object in the icon design space you can move it and manipulate it. Click on an object to select it.
Figure 50: Selecting objects individually
Arrow symbols appear at the border of the object. You can now drag the object in the design space or use the keyboard's arrows to position it.
If you have made a multiple-selection, these arrows appear at the common border of all the objects.
If you click again on the selected object(s), the arrows change:
Dragging the arrows provides two methods for manipulating objects.
| Icon | Description |
|---|---|
| Straight arrows: drag to modify horizontal and vertical scale. Arrows at the corners can modify both horizontal and vertical scale. | |
| Curved arrows: drag to modify rotation. Arrows at the corners can modify both horizontal and vertical rotation. |
These options are also available through the toolbar icons:
| Icon | Description |
|---|---|
| Set the horizontal and vertical scale for the object. | |
| Flip the selected object horizontally. | |
| Flip the selected object vertically. | |
| Rotate the selected object to the right. | |
| Rotate the selected object to the left. | |
| Enter a rotation angle for the selected object. |
