Toolboxes organizer
The Toolboxes organizer is accessible through the View menu:
Figure 14: The Toolboxes organizer
Using the Toolboxes organizer, you can:
Create new toolboxes containing existing primitives or customized primitives: You can create your own user toolboxes, and copy existing graphic primitives into them from other toolboxes, or customize graphic primitives and save them in your user toolboxes.
Exchange toolboxes (export/import): You can export toolboxes to a file, and import them from files. In this way, you can exchange toolboxes containing sets of graphic primitives and customized graphic primitives with other users.
Show/hide and reorder toolboxes: You can toggle the view of specific toolboxes off and on (in order to select which toolboxes are to be displayed in the toolboxes list), and define the order in which toolboxes are displayed in the list.
These functions are described in the following sections.
Note
Toolbox management as described in the following sections applies at user level, and not Dashboard level. In other words, if you have several Dashboards open (in the same system, or for several different systems), the toolbox contents will be identical between them, and any toolbox operations performed in one Dashboard will be reflected in all other Dashboards currently open, or opened in future.
Equally, Dashboards can be opened and be fully functional even if they contain graphic primitives based on custom definitions which the user does not have locally. If you receive an Simcenter Amesim system with a Dashboard containing custom definitions not present in your toolboxes, you can nonetheless open that Dashboard without any problem.
