Simulink Interface > Introduction
Introduction
This manual introduces the Simcenter Amesim / Simulink interfaces and how they interact.
Two interfaces are described:
- Standard interface — uses the Simulink integrator to drive the whole coupled simulation.
- Co-simulation interface — integrators from both Simulink and Simcenter Amesim are used, each solving its own part of the model and exchanging data at synchronization points.
The bulk of the manual covers the standard interface; the co-simulation interface section focuses on the differences from the standard interface. A concluding "Concluding remarks and FAQs" section summarizes key points and answers frequently asked questions.
Platform-specific text is marked accordingly:
- "Using Linux:" — text applicable only to a Linux environment.
- "Using Windows:" — text applicable only to a Windows environment.
