The Simulate menu > Lock states
Change of Locked status for individual state variables
Locked states status individual state variables
There are two cases to consider when changing the Lock states status for individual variables:
Scalar states case
Vector states case
Scalar states case
Procedure
Right-click on a component or line and select View lock states to produce the Locked states status dialog box.
Alter the state of the checkboxes in the Locked column to change the status of individual state variables.
Vector states case
State variables can be vectors, which means they can have a dimension greater than one. In this case, the components of a given vector can have either:
the same locked status, or,
different locked status.
Results
You can display vectors in two ways. This depends on the Expand vectors option in the Tools > Advanced menu.
Figure 247: Expand vectors
When Expand vectors is selected, the locked status of each component of a vector can be set individually. Open the Locked states status dialog box with a right-click on the submodel concerned:
Figure 248: Setting status individually
If you do not select this option, all the components of the vector are assigned the same locked status at once:
Figure 249: Same status for all vector components
If all the components have the same locked status for a given vector, the common status is displayed as shown above. Otherwise the Locked column shows the status of the first component followed by ???:

Note
If you change the locked status of a vector labeled with ???, the sign disappears, and all its components will be assigned the same locked status:
