Opening Sketch animation
To access Sketch animation, in Simulation mode, simply open the overlays menu, and choose Sketch animation. Overlays are interactive layers, which superpose themselves on the existing Simcenter Amesim sketch, and are used to display specific information to the user, or to allow specific interactions with the model, directly based on the contents of the sketch.
Note
Simulation results must be present in the model for Sketch animation to be rendered.
When activated, the Simulation Replay is displayed in the top-right hand area of the sketch. It is comprised of a replay bar, and a color scale.

Note
You can drag the color bar to any of the four corners of the sketch. Just drag it to beyond the halfway point of the corner to which you want to pin it and it will snap into place.
Animation controls The different controls are shown below.

| Play | Starts a replay animation. The animation runs from the current frame until the last frame. | |
| Stop | Stops a running replay. This button has no effect if no animation is running. | |
| Start | Rewinds the replay to the first frame. | |
| Rewind | Moves the replay backwards in steps. | |
| Forward | Moves the replay forward in steps. | |
| End | Moves the replay forward to the last frame. |
You can also use the slider to select a time:
Alternatively you can edit the time in the input box. For example, you can edit the value in the input box to 4.2 [s]
