In this section you will build a simple example which will highlight the general use of the Performance Analyzer. The model is presented below.

This model represents two masses connected with a spring and damper where contact can be lost. The first mass on the left side is attached to a wall with a spring and damper. A periodic velocity excitation is applied to the second mass via another spring and damper.

The model has been built for the purpose of illustrating how to use the Performance Analyzer; hence the parameters have been adjusted to amplify some specific behavior which can appear in everyday models.
