Preferences delay for automatic update
This controls how often a plot (or a Variable List dialog box) is updated when the Automatic update option is selected. The default value is 1000 ms, but you can set it as low as 500 ms, which is the smallest value that is acceptable.

This option determines whether plots tend to stay in the foreground of Simcenter Amesim Run or tend to remain in the background.

When this option is selected, an error message is displayed when an update is requested for a plot that cannot be updated (for example, an Optimization histogram plot). In this case, a message box is displayed to warn users that the plot cannot be updated:
Click the Don’t show me again checkbox if you want to prevent this window from opening in future.
Use last simulated result sets
Click the Use last simulated result sets checkbox to make the results set of the last simulation run the default result set selected for each new plot.
Note
If you selected the Batch simulation type for your last simulation:
If the option is selected, the default result set selected for the new plot will be the batch run, and you will automatically get a batch plot in Plot.
If the option is not selected, the default result set selected for the new plot will be the last single run, or, if there was no single run, the first value of the batch run.

The Styles option allows you to select the default plot style for all plots displayed in Plot and the Table Editor, and to manage your list of plot styles.
Current style: Select the plot style you want to use as the default style in Simcenter Amesim Run, and click Apply/OK.

Styles: This button opens the Manage Plot Styles dialog box. Here you can change the order of the list of styles, delete styles, and export and import style sets.
Use the vertical arrows to reorganize the list as you require.
Use the delete button to remove any style (except the Light theme, Dark theme, or Legacy styles) from the list.
Use the Import and Export buttons to export a style to a file, or to import a style from a file. Note that this applies only to the style currently selected in the style list.
Titles
You can change the default plot title format in plots through the Titles edit button.

Submodel-instance
When you select Submodel-instance, plot titles include the submodel name and instance number of the component or line which contains the variable being plotted. The submodel name and instance number cannot be modified by the user.
- Component alias

When you select Component alias, plot titles include the alias of the component or line which contains the variable being plotted. The component alias can be modified by the user through the component and line contextual menus.
- Plot title format unit
When you select Unit, plot titles include the unit of the variable being plotted.
- When you select Result set, you can use xml-like tags to display information about the result set. If you click the >>, you can display information on the result set text format: Figure 269: Result set text format
When you start to type in the result set field, the corresponding result set text formats are proposed: Figure 270: Result set text format list
You can select one of the proposed formats to enter it in the field.
The Preview field displays an example of how the plot title will appear in your plots.
Note
Plot titles always display variable titles, this cannot be modified.
