Assigning submodels

Procedure

1. Click on the Submodel tab or press F10.

   You can see that the components with no submodel assigned have their colors reversed.

2. Double-click on a component that has no submodel to open the Set submodel window.

3. Select the submodel you want to use, and click OK.

Results

The submodel is set for that component.

Repeat this operation for each submodel that has no submodel assigned.

Note

You can set submodels for multiple components of the same type through multi-selection, for example if you have several mass_friction_enstops components in your sketch.

You can let Simcenter Amesim select the simplest submodel for each component which requires one. To do so, click on the Premier submodel button in the toolbar .

You can also display the component labels:

Procedure

1. Select some or all of the components and lines in the sketch and then right-click.

2. Select Labels > Show component label(s).

   The submodels that have been selected for each component are displayed as labels.

3. To hide the labels, repeat the operation and select Labels > Hide component label(s).

   The labels disappear.
