The Sense internal variables window

In the example below, a rotary inertia is disconnected from the other components and moved away. When you select the Sense internal variables option through a right-click on the rotary inertia, the Sense internal variables window opens:

On the left, the Internal variables list displays all internal variables sensed in the component. On the right, the External variables are displayed, and when their checkboxes are activated in the Internal variables list, the corresponding internal variables are also displayed.

In this example, the rotary acceleration internal variable is needed for controlling the engine torque applied.

The Show all checkbox displays all internal variables available for a submodel, including those that cannot be sensed, which are grayed-out:

By default, the Show all checkbox is not activated.
