As evoked previously, the Data Import can be accessed either directly from the Tools menu, as described in the Figure 4 figure, or from the Table Editor, as shown in the Figure 5 figure.
You can also add Data Import capabilities to your custom python apps. Refer to the DataImportButton page in the Apps Python API Reference documentation for more information.
Note
You can also use the Data Import (as well as the Table Editor) with Simcenter Amesim Run.
From the Tools menu
You can start the Data Import directly from Simcenter Amesim's main window, either from the Tools menu.

From the Table Editor
The Data Import is also accessible from the Table Editor.

Data Import main window
The Data Import window is composed of 2 main areas:
A ribbon-bar at the top to access all available actions you can perform on your data
A table and a plot preview area to display your data

Note
If you started the Data Import from the Table Editor, the Export to Table Editor does not have a drop-down list with options as the data is automatically transferred back to the Table Editor at the end of the process.
