Introduction
Update and automatic update
You can update your plot(s) both while a simulation is running and at the end of the simulation run to refresh the display. You can do this manually or automatically.
Update
This action reloads results from the results file for all curves contained in a plot window.
Procedure
To update the graphs that are local to a plot window, click the update button from the plot toolbar; or use the entry Tools > Update from the plot menu bar.

To update the graphs of all plot windows, use the update button from the analysis toolbar of Simcenter Amesim; or use the entry Simulate > Update from the menu bar of Simcenter Amesim.

If you want your plots to always be up to date with the last simulation, you can check the Update after simulation option from Tools > Advanced from the menu bar of Simcenter Amesim. The overall update is then applied automatically once the simulation run is completed. Figure 11: Update after simulation option
Automatic update
Auto Update of plot
This mode allows you to automatically update the graphs that are local to a plot window during a simulation. The icon that is displayed on the right in the plot status bar (bottom part of a plot window) gives you information about the activation state of this mode. The mode is activated when the icon is colored; it is deactivated when the icon is greed

Procedure
To activate or deactivate this mode, click the icon directly or use the entry Tools > Automatic update from the plot menu bar
