Cut, Copy, Paste and Delete operations

At least one of more objects must be selected in the sketch.

Cut

Cut of selected objects

Edit > Cut or Ctrl+X cuts an object and moves it into a clipboard. From there, you can paste it into other applications.

Copy

Copy of selected objects

Edit > Copy or Ctrl+C puts a copy of an object into a clipboard. From there, you can paste it into other applications.

Paste and Paste from clipboard

Paste

Edit > Paste or Ctrl+V pastes an object from the clipboard onto the sketch.

Paste from clipboard Edit > Paste from clipboard or Ctrl+Shift+V pastes an object from the clipboard onto the sketch. This can include elements copied from applications other than Simcenter Amesim.

Note

If you copy a component, the Paste from clipboard menu item pastes it as an image onto the sketch.

Delete

Backspace

Select Edit > Delete or press the Del or backspace keys to delete components, lines or objects from the sketch.
