Getting Started with Simcenter Amesim Design Exploration Features

This manual introduces the Simcenter Amesim design exploration features through tutorial examples.

Design exploration provides a set of techniques for exploring the design space of a mature model, while remaining free to experiment with parameters. Typical use cases:

• Determine which parameters influence certain performance criteria.
• Experiment with a collection of parameters to optimize certain criteria.
• Find out how performance is affected by variation of a parameter due to production tolerances, different operating conditions, or wear.

The design exploration facility, accessed through the Study Manager, provides three headings for these actions:

• Design Of Experiments (DOE)
• Optimization
• Robustness analysis using Monte Carlo runs
