Question
How do I use the Simcenter Amesim to AVSimulation SCANeR Studio interfaces?
Answer
Overview
There are two different ways of interfacing with AVSimulation SCANeR Studio:
A direct interface for standard, non real-time (Windows or Linux) platforms.
An interface via Simulink designed for real-time targets.
License pre-requisites
You need the Vehicle Dynamics Library to use either of these interfaces from Simcenter Amesim to AVSimulation SCANeR Studio. Both of these interfaces rely on template vehicle models that are described in the Vehicle Dynamics Library.
Moreover:
To use the direct interface, the Generic Co-Simulation license is required.
To use the interface via Simulink, the Real-Time Option is required.
Type of interface to be selected
When creating an interface block on the sketch, you need to select the interface type.
This type of interface is called:
“UserCosim (co-simulation)” for the direct interface (designed for standard platforms).
“SCANeR via Simulink (co-simulation)” for the interface via Simulink (designed for real-time platforms).
For more details, please refer to the Vehicle Dynamics Library manual.
