Page layout

Page layout

The page layout can be customized to create multiple graphs on the page. The page is then divided into an m-by-n grid whose cells contain independent graphs.

You can set up the size of the grid through the page layout dialog window or the interactive widget. You can also create a new row or a new column directly by drag and drop of items.

The page layout dialog window

Procedure

  1. Select Tools > Page layout....

  2. Adjust the number of rows and columns in the Page layout dialog window.

  2. Hover the pointer over the grid to select the number of rows and columns and left-click to apply.

Note You can also click More... at the bottom of the widget to open the Page layout dialog window. Refer to the page layout dialog window section for more information.

Results

In the above screenshot, we are adding an extra column and an extra row to the plot. The result is as follows:

You can use the same widget to remove rows or columns:

The cells that contain a graph icon define the current grid configuration of the page. All the columns and rows that are not part of the greyed selection are removed and the new configuration is applied on the page.

Warning

If the graphs that are removed contain curves, those curves are deleted and lost.

In the above example, the second column is removed. Here is the result:

Creating a new graph area through drag and drop

You can automatically create a new graph area simply by dropping a variable onto the right side or the bottom side of the page area.

A blue bar indicates where to drop to create the row or the column.
