Watch parameters and variables

When you study the behavior of a system, you are particularly interested in the value of certain parameters and variables. You apply different values to the same parameters and start several runs to compare the results.

The Watch pane gives permanent and direct access to the most commonly used parameters and variables.

A model often contains a number of parameters and variables of special significance. These are the parameters that you most frequently change and variables you most often plot.

In both Parameter mode and Simulation mode, you simply drag and drop your favorite parameters or variables into a special Watch pane to create Watches. These are known as Watch Parameters and Watch Variables. You open the Watch pane through the Edit > Show / Hide menu.
