The Actions view

Through the Actions view, you can view, create and edit actions. These actions are typically used in the menu bar and toolbars of window type apps.

When menu entries are inserted in the menu bar by typing them in the Ui Designer, the editor will automatically create the corresponding actions, which are visible in the Actions view. To insert a menu entry, double-click the Type Here field and enter a name for your action:

The field becomes editable. You can enter a name for your action and then press Enter on your keyboard to confirm the input.

When you do this, the action appears in the menu bar, and the application proposes two more fields in which to enter a new action, the first in the same group as the action you have just created, the second as a new group to the right of the first group:

Now you can select one of these groups and enter further actions.

Actions can also be created in the Actions view first, and then dragged and dropped into the menu.
