Piloting simulations from outside Simcenter Amesim

piloting simulations using AMEPilot

Once you have exported inputs and outputs to the external world, you will be able to pilot the simulation from outside Simcenter Amesim. In this section it is assumed you are running AMEPilot manually. If you are using the Simcenter Amesim design exploration facility or one of the interfaces that uses AMEPilot, similar processes occur but they are automatic.

If you really want to do things manually or you are designing an interface and need to know how AMEPilot works, read this section. Otherwise go to Direct interfaces.

Follow the three steps detailed below to pilot the simulation:

Procedure

  1. Set Input Parameters value using an ASCII file.

  2. Run the simulation using AMEPilot.

  3. Get the results in an ASCII file.
