Using Windows Select Simcenter Amesim Run from the menu All Programs > Simcenter Amesim > Simcenter Amesim Run produced by the Start button, Double click on the Simcenter Amesim Run icon on your desktop, or,

You can configure Windows so that Simcenter Amesim Run starts automatically when you double-click on a system file (.ame file) in Windows Explorer. To do so, please refer to the setup procedure in the Installation Notes.

Using Linux In a suitable window, change to the directory where you wish to work and type /opt/Siemens/Simcenter_Amesim_2511/AMERun (assuming Simcenter Amesim Run is installed under the folder /opt/Siemens/Simcenter_Amesim_2511/).

The Simcenter Amesim Run main window opens.

Other ways to start Simcenter Amesim Run

• You can start Simcenter Amesim Run from the command line adding a model name in the argument: AMESim C:\AMETest\MyModel.ame

• You can open another model in the same instance of Simcenter Amesim Run: AMESim C:\AMETest\MyNewModel.ame

• You can open a model in a different instance of Simcenter Amesim Run using --multi: AMESim --multi C:\AMETest\MyModel.ame
