Introduction
Creating a plot
You can plot a curve using six methods:
Procedure
- Plot drag and drop method Select one or more items from the lists that are displayed in the dock windows of the main interface. Drag-and-drop those items onto the sketch area. The dock windows with this capability are:
the contextual Parameters window
the contextual Variables window
the Watch parameters window
the Watch variables window
the Post processing window
the Cross result window
Note To plot more than one item at the same time you can make a multi-selection using the Ctrl or Shift keys.

- Select one or more items from the lists that are displayed in the dock windows of the main interface. Right-click one of those items and select Plot form the contextual menu. The dock windows with this capability are:
the contextual Variables window
the Watch variables window
the Post processing window
the Cross result window

- Select one or more items from the lists that are displayed in the dock windows of the main interface. Drag and drop those items onto an existing plot window that already contains some curves. The dock windows with this capability are:
the contextual Parameters window
the contextual Variables window
the Watch parameters window
the Watch variables window
the Post processing window
the Cross result window

- Select a variable in the Variable List dialog box and click on the Plot Plot plot button method button.

- Select a data file in a format that is compatible with Simcenter Amesim from the file explorer. Drag-and-drop this file onto an existing plot window.

Note You can also open a data file through File > Load data from the menu bar of a plot window.
- Click on the Plots button of the Analysis toolbar, select the type of plot you want to create from the NEW PLOTS tile, and then drag and drop the selected item(s) onto the blank plot window that opens.
