Setting parameters
To illustrate the use of the Experiment view, we will vary the value of mass parameter in the Body mass component.

We are going to set several different values for this parameter, perform a run for each value, and save each of these parameter and result sets as experiments.
To do this, we require the Experiment view, which you activate through the Edit > Show/hide menu.

Remember that you can drag this and other panes around the Simcenter Amesim workspace to suit your preferences.
Set the first values for the mass and run the simulation
Procedure
- Set the following parameters:
Submodel name and type
Main simulation parameters
1d translation mass [MECMAS21]
mass [kg] = 400 inclination [degree] = -90
linear spring with 2 ports capable of linear motion [SPR000A]
spring rate [N/m] = 15000
1d translation mass [MECMAS21]
mass [kg] = 50 inclination [degree] = -90
linear spring with 2 ports capable of linear motion [SPR000A]
spring rate [N/m] = 200000
step signal source [STEP0]
value after step [null] = 0.1 step time [s] = 1
Open the Run Parameters and set a Final time of 5 seconds with a Print interval of 0.002 seconds.
Perform a dynamic simulation run and plot the following variables together:
Body mass: body displacement
Wheel mass: wheel displacement
Step: step output
