Associating a component parameter
Once a parameter of the Excel file is added to the list of the configuration, you can associate a parameter with it from a component of the model from Simcenter Amesim .
Procedure
- Select the component in Parameter mode, click on the parameter required, and drag-and-drop it to the cell Amesim parameter in the Manage configuration window.

- In the Manage configuration window, the first three columns correspond to the attributes of the parameter in Excel. The following columns correspond to the attributes of the parameter in Simcenter Amesim .

Note The configuration is not saved until the OK or Apply buttons are clicked.
- Click the Apply button in order to set the values and units of the parameters in Excel to the parameters of the model in Simcenter Amesim.
Attributes are both updated in the Manage configuration and in the components of your system. Figure 26: Update in the Manage Configuration window

Results
Warning
At this point, a unit check is performed. If the unit is not compatible between Excel and Simcenter Amesim, the value will not be committed, and an error message is displayed in the log. This is true both for Excel to Simcenter Amesim and for Simcenter Amesim to Excel. See figures below.

Note
You can access to the log file through View Log to check the status of all parameters that are applied to the model in Simcenter Amesim .
