Opening an existing system or starter
System opening an existing
Use File > Open to open an existing system or Starter. You can also click on the Open button in the Global toolbar or use Ctrl+O.
In all of these cases a file browser appears. This enables you to change directories and select a system .ame file, a pack (.pck) file or a starter (.amt) file from the directory. This can be a local file or a file managed by the Simcenter System Simulation Client for Git feature. Please refer to Simcenter System Simulation Client for Git for information on this feature. In this section we will discuss management of files stored on your local system.
Double-click on the system you want to open or select it and click on
Open
.

Once you have opened a system, you can access that system's local storage folder through a right-click on the system's tab:
You can drag a folder from the list to add it to the shortcuts on the left to create a favorites folder:
You can remove a folder from the list through a right-click:

See General in the Simcenter Amesim Run Preferences, for instructions on how to remove the preview of the system in the Open dialog box. You can also change the number of recently opened files.
