opening an existing file You can open an existing Modelica file in several ways:

• Click the Open button or use File > Open. A dialog box opens where you can browse to locate the file you require.

• Drag and drop a .mo file from your file browser directly into the Modelica Editor main area.

• Enter a path in the File Browser. The file browser provides an input field where you can enter a path to a specific location. When you press Enter, the specified location is opened displaying its contents in the window below. In addition, when you enter part of a directory name, the field is automatically completed for you, as shown in the following example: Here, from the directory M:/appli we enter the 'a' of amesim, and the path is completed automatically with the full name.

Note

When you open a Modelica file, it is automatically added to the path list.
