Export plot to picture

This action allows you to export an image of the current page as a picture. It can be stored in a file or added to the clipboard. This kind of image can be pasted onto the Simcenter Amesim sketch, for example.

The Export to picture action opens a dialog box in which you can select an existing Export configuration:

• Screen: This format is 100% size with a 96 dpi resolution. This means that the generated image is exactly what you see on your screen.

• Report: This format produces a 6 inch wide picture, keeping the plot aspect ratio, with a resolution twice that of your screen.

• Presentation: This format is the same as for Report, but with an 8 inch wide picture.

You can also select a Custom configuration, allowing you to:

• Customize the size of the exported picture as a percentage of your plot, as fixed values (in inches or in centimeters) or in pixels, with the option of imposing a width/height ratio.

• Change the resolution (a higher resolution is better for printed reports but increases the image file size. 96 dpi is the screen resolution, 600 dpi is the printer resolution).

You can use the Transparent background toggle to export the plot with a transparent background.

Once you have configured the export as you require, you can export the picture to a file, or to the clipboard. Exporting to a file allows you to select a generic format from the following list:
