Select data to import
Numerical data selection
The selection of the data ranges to import depends on the type of table. You must first know which table format you need to create for selecting the numeric data that corresponds to the table inputs and outputs. Please refer to the Table formats section in the Table Editor manual for more information on these formats.
On the Selection tab, in the Table format section, click the drop-down list button to select the table format.

The window adapts by displaying relevant widgets needed to select the data that defines the table content.
The selection is made directly on the spreadsheet. Drag the cursor to select multiple cells. Press Ctrl to select non-contiguous ranges. Press Shift to select a range in between two selected cells.
The selected cells are colored in a blue tint, which makes them easier to distinguish.

There are three ways to set the selection in the field of the data definition:
One way is to right-click on the selected cells and chose the required option. Figure 16: Setting the selection from the contextual menu
Instead of the contextual menu command, you can also press the update selection buttons next to the data fields. Figure 17: Setting the selection from the update button
It is also possible to enter an expression directly in the selection fields. Here are some examples of expressions using the Data Import syntax.
