Running a simulation

Procedure

1. Click on the Simulation tab or press F12.

   Simcenter Amesim performs various checks and creates an executable for your system. The System Compilation window appears, giving you some technical information about the equations it must solve to perform a simulation.

2. Click on Close in the System Compilation window.

Set the Run parameters

Procedure

1. Click on the Run Parameters button .

   The Run Parameters dialog box appears. It allows you to change the characteristics of a run. The display comprises various numerical values you can change plus a collection of tabs. By default, the options are set to the most commonly-used values.

2. Set all the run parameters as desired.

3. Click OK to validate your changes.

Start a simulation

Procedure

Click on the Run simulation button or use F7 to initiate a run.

The Run Monitor dialog box appears:
