Setting up the environment

environment

In order to use the Simcenter Amesim/Adams interface it is necessary to set an environment variable that points to the Adams installation directory. If this is not set, Simcenter Amesim will not be able to find the files necessary to compile the system.

To find out if this environment variable is set, type the following line in a terminal window:

AME_Adams_HOME

Using Windows CopyEcho %AME_Adams_HOME% The result should be something like: CopyC:\Adams2008 ... being printed on the screen. If the environment variable is not set, %AME_Adams_HOME% is printed and you need to set the environment variable to point to the Adams installation directory. You can do this through the Windows control panel.
