Simcenter Amesim installation instructions

Requirements

The Simcenter Amesim software is ordinarily installed on a single file system. This can be an individual user's computer in case of a stand-alone workstation, or a central file server for networked installations.

You can install multiple different versions of Simcenter Amesim on the same server, possibly for heterogeneous platforms (Windows® / Linux®). All of these versions can access the same license file using a common license server.

You can use a single installation of Simcenter Amesim on a server whose user base consists of people using both Windows and Linux operating systems. In this case, you must run the installer twice; first with the Windows OS and secondly with the Linux OS selected. However, if you want Linux users to use this centralized Simcenter Amesim installation, you must run the installer from a Linux machine (either physical or virtual), otherwise the installation will not work correctly for Linux users.

All machines that are to use Simcenter Amesim must be able to access the installation folder.

Note

On Windows only: If you have an older version of Simcenter Amesim on your PC and you still want to be able to use this version, you should install the current Simcenter Amesim version in a different folder.
