Example 3: Frequency response analysis with a mass-spring damper system
This section introduces Frequency Response Analysis through a mass-spring damper system example.
Bode, Nichols and Nyquist plots
Bode, Nichols and Nyquist plots are the most commonly used tools for frequency response. You need at least one control variable and at least one observer variable. You must of course do a linearization and it should be at an equilibrium point.
