The custom colorscale

In the colormap display, you can use a custom colorscale:

  • for the colormap, if you select custom scale in the colormap group,

  • for isolines colors if you select custom colors in the isolines group.

The custom tab provides you with advanced settings to create your own colormap.

Adjusting colorscale

When you click the arrow to the right of a segment color, a color chooser opens, enabling you to define a segment’s color.

You can click OK or Apply to apply your modifications (note that the custom colorscale needs to be used by the colormap or the isolines to have an effect).

You can adjust the values for each segment:

In this way you can precisely adjust the custom colorscale.

Additionally, you can split segments in your scale, through a right-click:

When you split a segment, the values are automatically adjusted below and above.

Color generator

  • Value generator

    The Values generator is a utility to generate values with a fixed step.

    Here, you can adjust the Min and Max values for the selected segment, and the Step size. The Preview button allows you to view the effects of your choice before applying the value.

  • Colorscale colors generator

    The Colors generator is a utility to generate colors using the Simcenter Amesim predefined colorscale, or to do an interpolation between two colors:

    Here you can select the color scale you require and select the Colorscale Colorscale between segment indexes Segment indexes and segment values segment values . Alternatively, if you select the Two colors checkbox, you can directly select the colors to use.
