Comparing result sets from experiments

Instead of using batch runs as your result sets, you can use experiments. To illustrate this, we will create 3 experiments with the Body mass set respectively at 200, 300 and 400 Kg:

Note

See Using the Experiment view for more information about creating experiments.

This time our variable will point to an experiment result set. If we select the Default result set column in the Post processing  tab, we can see which experiments are available:

We will use exp_1.ref in our expression.

Procedure

  1. Click on the Body mass and drag the Body velocity variable to the Post processing tab.

  2. Edit the expression as follows: (v1@Body_Mass[1])-(v1@Body_Mass[exp_1.ref])

Here, we are comparing v1@BodyMass result set 1 with v1@BodyMass experiment 1.

  1. Plot the post-processing variable:

In this way, you can access experiment result data without needing to apply the experiment to the system.
