Synchronizing Modelica models

At times, you will make changes to your Modelica models after you have translated them. Simcenter Amesim indicates the presence of unsynchronized components and enables you to highlight and synchronize those components. To locate unsynchronized components, click Highlight all:

To pull the latest content back into your Simcenter Amesim model, either use the Synchronize all button, or right-click on the Modelica component and select Synchronize (see figure below). Performing a Synchronize tells Simcenter Amesim to generate a new submodel using the latest version of your Modelica source code (both your local model and any libraries it references).

You can select the Edit option from any mode to open a model in the Modelica Editor, or do a synchronization. In some cases, the Modelica model interface can change. Such important changes can only be handled in Sketch mode, which is why after a sychronization, the mode may be locked in Sketch mode to allow you to reconnect your model according to the new interfaces. You can also use the Force recompilation option (Ctrl-T) to return to Sketch mode and force Simcenter Amesim to generate new native submodels from for the Modelica definitions.
