The model can only deal with a predefined set of data-file types. The code-generation process in Simcenter Amesim can only deal with the "standard" Simcenter Amesim tables. These are files that are read using the utilities rtable0d, rtable1d, rtable2d, rtablem1d, rtable3d andrtablem3d. If other utilities are used for reading data it is suggested that the data are transformed to any of these known formats. Currently this limitation also affects media properties in various fluid or thermal libraries where proposed built-in media are in fact links to tables that might cause issues during the code generation process. Therefore, a general recommendation for fluid or thermal properties is to use "user-defined" settings instead of database proposals or data files.

Simcenter Amesim models that include encrypted components (submodels or supercomponents) cannot be exported to a real-time target using the Simulink Coder™. The reason for this limitation is that no C code is generated when encrypted components are included in Simcenter Amesim models. Consequently, the Simcenter Amesim model cannot be re-compiled in accordance with real-time target requirements.
